There are a lot of mothers and they are calling themselves mamma when they are talking to their children. For example when the children want to buy sausages with bread and the mother is saying: “Mamma does not want a sausage with bread.” Why isn’t she saying: “I don’t want that,” And as soon as you pay attention on it a lot of women don’t use the “I” form when they are talking about themselves. Maybe those women feel themselves only a mamma and they are playing that role with total submission. I think you have to be careful with doing this because before you know everybody is calling you mamma. I have to check I am not doing the same.
